Eric has over 15-years of senior level management experience in digital finance including; payments, micro-investing, securities, money transfer systems, transfer agents and record keeping. With a long track record of success as an entrepreneur and innovator, he was selected by The Center for Financial Service Innovation and Fortune Magazine as being one of the top innovators in the country and he has been featured in the New York Times, BusinessWeek and many other national publications for his contribution in the advancement of digital finance. Eric has extensive experience in all phases of executive management including business and corporate development, financial management, strategic planning, M&A, capital structure, treasury management, agile project management, operations, executive coaching and mentoring as well as expert public speaking skills with local and national media experience.
Daniel has 16 years of experience leading Marketing and Product growth teams at a wide range of consumer finance and payments companies, including Check, Green Dot, AccountNow, PayPal, and Providian Financial. At Check, a leading mobile payments and personal finance product (acquired by Intuit for $360 million in 2014), he was a member of the company’s executive leadership team, focusing on the strategic and operational management of the company and its marketing organization. At Green Dot, he served as the Head of Online Acquisition, where he launched and expanded the digital acquisition channel, resulting in substantial account and revenue growth contributing to its successful IPO in July 2010. At PayPal, he led global product management and development teams focusing on improving merchant and consumer acquisition experiences. As a founding team member and early employee at AccountNow (acquired by Green Dot in 2014), he served as the Vice President of Marketing, responsible for product development, marketing channel strategy, and online acquisition. He began his career at Providian Financial (acquired by WAMU/Chase), where he held numerous management positions focusing on online credit card acquisition and product management.
Andrew is an entrepreneur and experienced innovator in the payments and FinTech spaces. He was part of the founding Product Management team for Android Pay, and spent several years working on the Google Wallet Card, P2P, and ACH payment systems for Google Wallet. He led the Product Management team at Check (acquired by Intuit for $360 million in 2014) and helped build their Bill Pay payments system from scratch. In 2007, Andrew also co-founded Emerginvest, a startup providing data and insights on stocks worldwide in Emerging Markets, which was part of the TechCrunch 50 in 2008. Andrew hails from Stanford and studied Symbolic Systems and AI, and he brings to MOVO over a decade of experience in data science and financial technology.
Head of Finance
Jeff has 20+ years of executive management, operations, and development experience in mobile communications companies. In the last six years he has worked with numerous start-up and rapid-growth technology companies in the US and Europe. From 2004 to 2009, Jeff served as CEO of mBlox, leading this mobile transactions company through a period of rapid growth and international expansion. Jeff also held senior management positions at Vodafone and AirTouch, serving as Senior Vice President of the Global Platform and Internet Services Group, as well as Vice President for the Vodafone Asia Region, where his responsibilities included business development, operations, and corporate governance. Prior to the Vodafone-AirTouch merger, Jeff was Vice President, Business Development, for Europe at AirTouch Communications. Jeff earned his BA at Yale and MBA at Harvard.
Head of Program Management
Jake Posey has 14 years of experience working in the financial industry – the last 9 of those years was spent in prepaid program management. Jake worked for venture backed FSV Payment Systems (a prepaid processor and program manager purchased by US Bank) where he worked as the Web Product Manager, headed up an operations team, and helped clients grow their prepaid portfolio. These clients included top 5 banks, Fortune 100 clients, and some of the largest GPR programs in the U.S. Jake recently came from i2c Inc. (a prepaid processor) where he headed up their worldwide Program Management Department.
Head of Payment Operations
Dante is a payments industry expert with over 10 years experience. He has worked with leading payments companies such as World Pay, Account Now and Catalina Card, where he managed teams responsible for large scale implementations for global merchants such as Uber, Netflix, Microsoft, HP, Adobe and others. He specializes in global eCommerce payments and prepaid debit card programs. Dante is a Veteran of the Marine Corps and graduated from St. Mary’s College of California with honors.
Head of Consumer Operations
Charles demonstrates a true passion for innovation and a natural ability to take an abstract concept and make it a reality, Charles has played a large role as a 30 year veteran of the high tech industry. He has helped companies such as Hewlett-Packard automate it’s complex selling process with innovative tools to reduce field selling costs and speed the time to deliver solutions to its customers. His work has been presented at the Gartner Symposium, and has appeared in articles on innovation in Computerworld and Computer Reseller News. He has a background in sales, consumer adoption, partner channel management, solution architecture, and software development.
Director Administration & HR
Renee brings over ten years’ experience in enterprise building and entrepreneurial start-ups in the fintech/finserv industries. She worked closely with Eric on two previous start-ups including Solis MoneyLine and SaveDaily where she was instrumental in their success. Renee is a consummate team player who uses her organizational skills in operations and coordinating to keep her teams focused and on track while cultivating an environment that produces growth and success.
Mark Troughton is an entrepreneur and former President of Green Dot Corporation, a payments company which he grew to $500 million in revenue and took public through an IPO in 2010.
